Who is behind JetSet
The company behind JetSet is The JetSet Group Inc.
What JetSet is
- JetSet is a wallet app for paying by phone: you scan the QR code on the till, check the amount and confirm with Face ID.
- JetSet Vendor is the till app: the vendor enters the sale, the till shows a QR code carrying the amount and a reference, and it shows Approved when the payment arrives on the Stellar ledger.
- A payment goes from the customer’s phone to the till on Stellar. There are no card networks in between.
- JetSet never holds your funds. Your keys are made on your phone and stay there.
- JetSet covers the network fee.
The JETS token
JETS is a token on the Stellar test network with a fixed supply of 100,000,000. The account that issued it is locked, so it cannot issue more, and clawback is off.
JETS on the test network has no monetary value.
The token’s public record, for anyone to read, is stellar.toml.
Where things stand
- JetSet is a testnet beta.
- Android is coming.
- Cash withdrawal at a JetSet machine is coming.
- JetSet’s own fee is not set yet.
- How you get JETS is not decided yet.
